Equipment

  • Primula Classic Stovetop Espresso Maker 6-cup model

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons Café Bustelo Coffee
  • ¾ cup Filtered Water
  • 2 teaspoons Optional Sugar
  • ¼ cup Optional Milk

Instructions

  • Add Water to the Stovetop Base
Pour 6 fl oz (¾ cup) of filtered water into the lower chamber of your Primula moka pot, just beneath the safety valve. Do not overfill.
  • Fill the Filter Basket with Coffee
Scoop in 3 tablespoons of Café Bustelo ground coffee (roughly 18–20g). Gently level the surface but do not tamp the grounds down.
  • Assemble and Heat on Medium Flame
Tightly screw on the top of the moka pot. Place over medium heat, lid open. Brewing will begin in about 4–6 minutes.
  • Remove When Brewing is Complete
When you hear the bubbling or gurgling sound and the top chamber fills with coffee, remove from heat. Let it sit for 30 seconds with the lid closed.

Notes

For best results, use freshly filtered water and grind your Café Bustelo just before brewing if using whole beans. Keep an eye on the moka pot as it brews—remove it from heat as soon as you hear a hissing sound to prevent bitterness.
